What we do
Inspired by Toni, home bakers across the country are starting chapters of Cakes for Kids. I live in southern Indiana, about 10 miles from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. There is also a volunteer baker in Louisville itself. When a family needs a cake for a child, we supply it. Each cake is lovingly baked, and the interests of the child are always reflected on their cake. It can be a favorite color, a cartoon or anything they are interested in.

I have carved cakes to look like tanks, guitars, drum sets and even severed heads. 
I also make figures from modeling chocolate and gumpaste such as Veggie Tales, fairies and flowers. Neither of us is a professional baker, our levels of expertise vary, but the love that goes into each cake is visible.

As much as we would love to be able to supply every child with a cake of their dreams, cakes take time to make and supplies are expensive. Please email or call to request your cake as early as possible. If you area not in our areas, but close by we may be able to arrange to meet you with your cake. If you can not bake, we always welcome volunteers to deliver cakes for us as well. Donations of cake supplies are always appreciated!
